This study investigates the role and impact of green credit within banking operations, with a focus on the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank). The study reviews theoretical frameworks on green credit, analyzes its current implementation at Vietcombank, and assesses its effectiveness in practice. Findings highlight both achievements and challenges in promoting sustainable financing. Based on the analysis, the study offers targeted solutions and recommendations to enhance the adoption of green credit, contributing to Vietcombank’s sustainable development objectives, reducing environmental impact, and strengthening its corporate social responsibility commitments.
