Tóm tắt:TÀI LIỆU THAM KHẢO:This study examines international payment risks faced by foreign banks operating in Vietnam during their digital transformation journey. While digitalization offers operational efficiencies, it also introduces new vulnerabilities, particularly in the context of fragmented legal frameworks, political uncertainties, and the rapid expansion of the fintech sector. Drawing on Institutional Theory, Operational Risk Theory, and Credit Risk Theory, the study develops a five-dimensional risk framework encompassing legal-regulatory, political-economic, customer-related, internal process, and correspondent banking risks. The moderating role of Digital Banking Readiness is also explored. Using survey data from 244 banking professionals, the study employs reliability testing, factor analysis, regression, and moderation analysis. Findings indicate that internal process and customer-related risks are the most destabilizing, with digital readiness amplifying their negative impacts. The study contributes both theoretically and practically by offering insights into managing digital cross-border payment risks in emerging markets.
