Tóm tắt:TÀI LIỆU THAM KHẢO:Amid intense competition, manufacturing enterprises in the wood processing industry must prioritize quality as a key strategy to strengthen their competitive advantage by minimizing defects enhance customer satisfaction and profitability. Kaizen, a core component of Lean manufacturing, emphasizes continuous improvement to eliminate such defects. This study applies the Kaizen methodology to reduce defects and improve the wood production process at Company A, implementing an eight-step Kaizen approach. The analysis identified two primary defects requiring focused intervention: slat cracking and door frame misalignment. Solutions included designing and deploying a gap-filling system during slat cutting and replacing wooden jigs with steel jigs for door frame positioning. After two months of implementation, on-time completion performance reached 100%, the supplementary wood ratio decreased to 0.65%, and defect correction costs were reduced by 15.94%. These results provide valuable evidence of the effectiveness of Kaizen in manufacturing enterprises, particularly in reducing waste and optimizing production processes.
